I like the way the greens and reds fall on the foliage in Liberty's cap.

Very nice, that's an unusually beautiful coin. Most of them don't tone that nicely when they're worn like that, because they continue to be handled, which gradually destroys the coin, starting with the removal of any thin layer of toning. That one was not abused.

1943-P 5C Jefferson Nickel PCGS 68 TONER #2347-6 - PCGS 81949509 - ebay 252627814593 (price reveal) - sold in a Best Offer option $3000.

Of 4000 specimens certified at PCGS, this is one of only 2 in a 68 grade. This is probably the best one of the 2, and there are no coins with higher grades. The "book value" of a 68 grade is $1900, but this sold for $3000 probably because the hint of nice rainbow toning at the top of the coin made it the #1 finest surviving specimen of this coin type.

My favorite thing about this coin is the flawless monochromatic pink color. Such a perfect pink is unique as far as I have seen so far. Then next best thing about this irreplaceable coin is the fact it only cost $62 for the lucky winning bidder. Not bad for some top-class coin eye candy (CEC)!

This is classic proof that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. My first reaction when I saw this was "Yuck! Somebody barfed on that coin." But I couldn't stop looking. It has rarely seen greens in the perfect vomit color, and honestly, I haven't seen another specimen as strangely attractive as this one. Most importantly, look at the price. It's more than 4 times the $54 "book value". Clearly, in some cultures, she's not ugly, she's beautiful.

Extremely rare purple toning. Toning on gold is very hard to find, and purple is even more so, that's why it sold for more than the normal value.

Current normal ebay value is around $40 to $60, but this stellar specimen sold in a cheap auction for a whopping $555. See for yourself, and price compare other specimens of the exact same coin that are nowhere near as beautiful as this coin is:
